I'm going to do an evaluation about my English blog I did this year. For do that I'm going to follow some steps and answer some specific questions.
I think I have learnt a lot this year because my texts and my pronunciation have improved very much. We have upload a lot of our your-say, tasks, writings, podcasts and oral presentations.
I can see an improvement of my English level on my blog, because when I compare my first writing with the last one, I can see that I have learnt a lot of new vocabulary. And when I observe the oral presentation I did in the first term about my personal topic and I see the last one about a social topic, I can see a big difference, I was not so nervous.
In my opinion, I think that my best writing this year is the informal letter because I get a good mark. I used a lot of linking words, it was good structured, I have used some new vocabulary and the verb tenses were okay.
I would say that the best activities for learning English are watching films, listening to listenings and doing podcasts, because it's a good way to pay attention to what they are saying and learn some new words and listen to the English pronunciation. It is good to learn to speak in fluency.
But anyway I think all the activities are important to improve my English, and I doesn't think that a activity we did this year is not useful, because every little thing you learn every day can help you in the future.
In conclusion, I have enjoyed a lot doing this blog, and I hope that next year I can continue it, because I like to speak about things I like. It is also a good way to get a better mark in the subject of English because it's a 50% of the mark. And when you don't have very good marks of your exams, this blog can help you a lot.
I hope that next year we are going to read more books in English because I have enjoyed a lot reading the short book about an investigator and his problems.

Extra work: SNOW!
The 8th of March was a strange day for all Spain. If you know, the weather is crazy now because of the global warming.
I'm going to tell you the story in my view. I stand up how every day at 6:30 in the morning. It was very cold outside and it was very cloudy. I had my breakfast normally and puted on my clothes. At 7:20 I leaved my house and went to the bus stop to catch the school bus. I was talking to my friend and we sayed: "I hope that today will snow!". We went to school and we have done normally class. At the second hour we were in economy and it begans to snow. After the third hour there was so much snow that the teachers decided that we could go home. It was very stressed to wait for the bus because all the children were very nervous.
When we arrived at home, my sister and I went out in the garden to play with the snow, and we did a very big snowman. Also my dog was happy in the snow, at first he was a little bit scared because it was the first time that he has seen snow.
But there were bad things too, we haven't got electricity and water during two days. It was not so good, because we couldn't do any food and also we couldn't have a shower! And sometimes it was boring because we couldn't watch the tv or play with the computer. During these days I realized that now we are depending on electricity very much. But it was good because the next day we haven't to go to school. :)

Last writing...SUMMER =D
Heeey, this is my last writing for this year and it is very difficult to choose a topic to talk about because I think I have talked about all my things. So I decided to write a little bit about the summer.This year the summer holidays will be very short for me I think. I have a lot of things to do. When I finish the school my cousin comes from Germany to do some holidays here, and I hope that it will be a good time. I also have to work on the evenings. Then in July comes a very good friend of mine from Malaysia (I have talked about her in a previous post), she will stay her for three or four weeks and also it will be a very good time because I have to show her all about my town. We will go to the beach and swimmingpool, go to visit Girona and Barcelona and do a trip to the mountains.
In August, my sister and I are going to travel to Germany for one week. We are going to stay at my grandparents house in Hannover and then two or three days at my cousin's house. After that, I think at the 14 of August, my sister, my cousin, my aunt and I are going to travel to the USA for one week. We are going to visit New York and the Niagara Falls. I'm so exited! I'm very happy to have this oportunity to travel to NY, I think I will love it.
When I come back it's almost September, and then I'm going to make use of my free time and go out with my friends. Then I have another problem... during the summer I have to do my "treball de reserca", and I'm going to do it in english!!!!!!
Satellite ♥
Yesterday, the 29th of May 2010, was the Eurovision song contest in Oslo.
I had long looked forward to the evening, because I like a lot Lena, she is the singer who sings for Germany. I love her song "Satellite" since she has won a competition on the german tv. This song is so good that Lena was on the number one during some weeks! All Germany is crazy about her because she sings so good and has a wonderful voice. Also she has her own style, and she is a little bit crazy and not shy. All Germany hoped that she will win the ESC.
During the competitions there were a lot of good songs too. I liked a lot the song of France and Denmark. But of course I voted for Lena, I could it do because I'm here in Spain. And you know that every country can't vote for himself. And at the end Spain given 12 points to Germany! And a lot of other countries given good points to Lena, it's a sign that a lot of people like her and her song. I hope that she will be famous in all over the world!!! :)
When Lena won the competition, all Germany was happy and in good mood. There is a big pary now in Hannover, because it's the city where Lena comes from.

FUTURE
Every time it's more difficult to choose a topic to talk about, so now I've chose to talk about my future. In the last few months I was thinking a lot about this problem, and it has become clear to me that I have to think seriously about it, because it's a very important decision what I'm going to do in some years. Increasingly people ask me what I'm going to do in the future, and always I answer with a "I don't know yet".
Of course one of my proposals is to finish batxillerat, and with good marks. Then I'm going to do the selectivitat and I hope that it will not be difficult for me and I pass.
Then I'm not sure if I go to the university, or do a gap year. I think that I'm going to do a gap year first, because I need a pause after these years of hard working. How I said in the previous post, I would like to travel to Malaysia for three or four months to visit a good friend and for learn more english. My father told me that there I can visit an english school, and it wolud be easier to learn english because I always have to speak in english to conform with the everyday life. At the same time I would work in a cafe or restaurant to earn my own money.
After this gap year I would study in the university in Berlin, Germany. But now I don't know what I'm going to study.
This are my actualy plans for my future, but perhaps this plans change in one year. I hope not ;)

Of course I have good friends here in Spain, but today I'm going to talk about my friend who lifes far away in another country and in another continent.
I would talk about Huixian, she is a 16 old girl and she lives in Malaysia. I know her because she is the godchild of my fater's girlfriend Irene. I've never seen her because she lives so far away but this summer she will come for three weeks for holidays at my house. I'm very nervous because I want to see her. I was very surprised when my father and Irene told me that she will come this July.
I only have spoken to her by messenger or facebook and always she was nice and friendly to me.
She is a very extroverted person and always has good ideas. She never is bored or tired. I hope that we will unterstand us so well how we do it through the internet.
And one plan of mine is, after finishing 2nd Batxillerat and the selectivitat, to travel to Malaysia for three or four months to visit Huixian. And of course also for learning more english! :)

The U.S. rapper 50 Cent starved himself down 25 kilograms and is barely recognizable. But his fans do not have to worry.
The rapper took off for a movie. In "Things Fall Apart" plays 50 Cent, who's real name is Curtis Jackson, a cancer-stricken football player.
The hunger was tough, says the 33-year-old singer. Within nine weeks, he had reduced his weight with the help of liquid food and exercise from 97 to 72 kilograms. But now he weigh again nearly 90 kilograms.
To motivate during the diet, took 50 cents actors like Robert de Niro, Tom Hanks, Renee Zellwegger, or a model, all of which changed her wight for film rolls.
In my opinion, I think that it's not good when people reduce her/his weight only for do a film. Maybe it's good when you loose some kilograms, but not so much that you look ill.

We have almost learnt to respect our world
I disagree with the statement that we have almost learnt to respect our world. In my opinion, we do the oposite because we don't care about the earth and contaminate it a lot. Another problem is that some people don't have tolerance with other humans.
At first, in my opinion I think that we contaminate too much. The humans don't think and realize about this problem, so it seems to me that in the future it will be the biggest problem ever.
The most responsible for this problem are the factories and the traffic, because they don't control too much what types of toxic gas they drop in the space. So they create pollution.
Also some people don't respect the environment and throw rubbish on the ground and in the sea, this can also afect animal and plant life.
Secondly, I think that the other problem is that some people don't respect cultures and religions from other persons from another countries and continents, so it causes violence between humans. I hope that one day everyone in this world will accept diferent cultures and religions. So the problem of racism would be solved.

Film review.
Hey, today I'm going to talk about a film I saw yesterday with my sister on the TV: "Cheaper by the dozen 2".
It's a film produced in 2005 and it's the continue of the first part: Cheaper by the dozen. Both are comedys with a lot of humor and they are very funny.
The argument of the story consist of two families that the fathers of each are angry with each other. One familiy has 8 children and they are very good educated. The father of them is very strictly and he expects that each of his children will study on a good university and becomes famous. The other familiy has 12 children, and the parents are very normal and the children live a normal life too, how children have to life...having fun! These two families known them on holidays and it begins a hard fight to win the competition race that they do every year on the holiday camp.
I liked this movie a lot. I also loved the first part so I wanted to see the second part too. I don't know wich I liked more because both were fantastic and very funny.
There were a lot of famous actors that I like, for example: Steve Martin, Tom Welling and Hilary Duff. But there were more famous actors like Eugene Levy and Carmen Electra.
I have to say that the actors did it very good, because there were a lot of funny moments that they have to play.
I love comedys, and these was a good one!

Reflection about my oral presentation.
Hi, today I'm going to talk about my oral presentation I did last week about animals in danger of extinction.
I'm very happy about my presentation, I think I did it good and at any rate the best I did this year.
It was not difficult to chose the topic I would talk about, because I love animals and I think that is is a very big problem that so many species are in extinction, and the worst is that humans are the most responsibles for that problem.
Also it was not difficult to find good information, because this problem is very current now in the world and there is a lot of information in the internet. But for preparate my presentation I took a long time because I had to do my text and the power point.
Before the presentation I was nervous, but not so much than the others presentations. I was very secure of my text and I had a good feeling. During the presentation I was more nervous but I think that I did it good and that my pronunciation was good. Of course there are things I can improve for next year for example watch more at the audience, speak louder and not get so nervous.

ANIMALS IN DANGER OF EXTINCTION
Hello, today I'm going to explain you about my social topic I have chosen: Animals in danger of extinction.
At first I'm going to tell you the causes why so many species are in extinction, and then I'm going to show you some examples of the most in danger animals.
There are two big groups to differentiate: One is natural causes and the other is human causes.
Natural causes
● Climatic Heating and Cooling: Climate Change is caused by a number of things. The effect that climate has on extinction is very big. When the weather changes very fast and very strong, and the difference of temperature is very big, some species of animals don't have a chance to survive. Because when it's very cold the food for them is freezing and when it's to hot, normally there is no water.
● Acid rain: Another naural cause is the acid rain. The problem is when this rain falls on the earth, it increases the acidity and it affects on plant life. And when the animals eat the plants they become ill and die.
● Diseases: The last problem is that each species has defense mechanisms like immunities and the ability to fight diseases. But with the changing climate some spacies are losing their ability and become ill.
Human causes
● Climate change: The humans are the most responsible of the climate changing, so we are the responsibles of some natural causes I have said before.
● Destruction of habitat: There is another problem, the humans are building new citys everywhere, and for that they have to destroy a lot of woods where a lot of animals live. So a lot of them where dead or died because they had no food.
● Pollution: And the last problem is pollution. Pollution is the introducction of toxic gas in the space. The most responsibles for that are the factories because they don't control too much what gases they leave in the space. Another tipes of pollution are fire, farming and building of citys.
Examples of animals in danger
Now I'm going to show you some of the animals that are in danger of extintion.
● Siberian Tiger: It's a tipe of tiger which lives in Siberia. It's a very big animal and it could arrive to dispite more that 300 kilos. They are white and black and now only exists 200 of this specie in the world.
● Giant otter: Has disappeared in Uruguay and only a few left in Argentina.
● Iberian imperial Eagle: There are only 150 pairs left free.
● Sea turtle: Chased by collectors and offered in luxury restaurants.
● Scarlet Macaw: Imported in large quantities to the USA.
● African Black Rhinoceros: There are only 2.000 left. During the 1970s there were more than 65.000.
● Giant Panda: They were used by Zoos and wanted for their skin. There are only 1.000 left in the World.
So, in conclusion, in my opinion I think that it's a very big problem because in maybe 100 years, a lot of spacies will have disappeared from the world only because the humans don't care about it. And I hope that in the future we will give more importance to this problem.

It's full of interesting places, for example you can go to have a look at the "Brandenburger Tor", it's a very big portal in the middle of the city and it deserves a look. Also there are very good shopping malls where you can buy a lot of things. But there are some good museums too, for example the German Historical Museum, I know that you like other countries history a lot, so I hope that that sounds interesting to you.
Hannover could be interesting too, it's a city only one hour from Berlin by train and I would be very proud if you went there, because it's the city where I come from and it would be nice for you to see where and how I grew up. This city is not as big, as Berlin, so it's calmer and still, and in some streets and parks it's very quiet and you can relax a lot in beautiful cafés.
When you prefer sightseeing, this city is perfect for you because there are a lot of old churches full of history and culture, and I think you will love the old part of the city.

News: Volcano in Iceland
There is a big volcano in Iceland and some days ago it erupted. It was a terrible problem because all Iceland was full of ash and lava, so it destroyed a lot of houses and woods.
A lot of people now doesn't have a place to sleep and eat. Now they have to start another time from new.But there was another problem... the volcano erupted and it made a very big ash cloud, it was so big that it had covered half Europe. The cloud was aproximatly 10 km high, and all the airports were closed for a few days, because they said that it was to dangerous to fly, because the ash could break the plane.
In Great Britain, Germany and France the airports were closed three or four days, and also the airport here in Barcelona was closed for one day.
The consequences were that a lot of people couldn't arrive at home because they were on holidays and they had to stay three days on the airport or in hotels. Some people decided to take the train or the bus to could arrive at home.

I have chosen this song because I like it a lot.
Now everyday it appears on the radio and everytime

I hope that this band will make more good songs,
because I really like these types of music.

My favorite music,,♥
I was thinking a lot for what I could write today, and I decided to talk a little bit about my favorite music. In my opinion it's a very interesting topic because everyone likes different tipes of music.
And I have to say that I like a little bit of all. But the music a like the most is in english of course ;-)
First, I like very much pop music, also all the music that plays on the radio, for example on FlaixBack.. at my house all the day the radio is on. On this tipes of radio programme the music is very different and there were sometimes songs that I didn't like, but normally the music is very good. And I also have to say that some days I didn't like to hear all that tipes of new music how for example pop, rock and house... I like to hear old music. Music from the period of our parents. There are some very good old CLASSIC songs that are beautiful and the texts are very interesting and full of love. Sometimes I ask a friend of me if he/she know who is that singer, and he/she didn't know it! And I think that is unbelivable because it's a legend of music and they didn't know him/her... of course he/she is a little bit older than we but he/she was or is very famous and it's a MUST to know him/her. hahaha :)
Now I'm going to talk a little bit about my favorite singers and favorites groupes.
I have a lot of singerst that I like, for example Justin Timberlake, Milow, Beyoncé, Alanis Morrisette, Katy Perry, Robbie Williams, Alicia Keys, etc.
But there are some good groups too: Black eyed peas, Cobra Starship, One Republic and Owl City.
Another thing is that I never had a favorite song forever. I change every week, and every day I descover new songs that I like, and when I found a good song I hear it 20 or 30 times, and finaly I'm tired and I change.
In the last days I liked very much two songs, here you can see it. One is "If we ever meet again" from Katy Perry feat. Timbaland and the other is "Fireflies" from Owl City.

Empuriabrava
Hello everybody, today I'm going to talk about Empuriabrava, it's the small town where I live.
Empuriabrava is situated next to the Mediterranean sea, in the Costa Brava. It's a very beautiful town, it's very popular for tourist from all Europe.
During the year there live not so many people, approximatly 5,000 persons. But in the summer there were a lot of tourist and in July and August the town is very full, approximatly 80,000 people. This is possible because a 75% of the houses in Empuriabrava are apartments to rent.
The town is so popular because it has two very beautiful and big beaches with white sand, a lot of good restaurants and pubs and good places to shopping.
I think that in winter it isn't good to live in Empuriabrava because there aren't any people and it is quite boring, and when it's cold, there aren't any things to do because a lot of shops are closed.
In summer it's different, because the weather is always good and you are all the day outside and enjoy it. It's very good that the beach is so near because you can get the bycicle and arrive there in 5 minuts. Another option is to swim in the swimmingpool, I think that every house in Empuriabrava has a swimmingpoolm and when not there is a public pool where you always can go and relax a little bit. And when you like do sport you can go to the gym, it's next to the public swimmingpool, and there you can keeping in shape if you like.
For young people there are some good pubs for the night, for example Sikim, Milk and Saloon. And a lot of good discos: Pasarel·la, Pacha, Viva, Noche Latina... and in summer there are very full!
Empuriabrava is very popular for the canals too, there are more than 30 km of canals and 5,000 parking places for the boats.
Moreover Empuriabrava is a popular place for skydiving because it has an airport, from which one can in windless weather in one of the largest skydiving centers in Europe.
Also the town has two or three surf schools on the beach, and one next to the river Muga, where you can start to practise windsurfing if you never had done it and learn very fast.

Since the scientist experiment on human life, there have been a lot of good experiences to help people with illnesses, but there are some bad experiences too, for example accidents.
On one hand, experiments on humans can help to the scientists and doctors to discover about life and all the illnesses that exist in the humanity, and so they can invent new medicines to help us.
On the other hand, there is always a risk when the scientists experiment on human life, because there could be an accident, so they have to know what they are doing and be very sure about it. For example cloning people is not a good idea because each person is anique and a clone can't replace them. And for the clon isn't a good thing too, because it's not nice to be only a copy.
in my opinion I agree that some scientists experiment on human life to discover about some illnesses, but I really disagree with putting life into a dead body how it did Victor Frankenstein because it is very nasty to create a new creature and then don't love it.

Reflection about my oral presentation.
I'm not so happy with my oral presentation because I think I could have done it better.
The day before the oral presentation I could all my text in memory, but during the presentation I forgott a lot of things because I was very nervous. And that is one of the thing that bother me, always I'm nervous and I don't know why. I hope that one day it will be better.
On the begining I wasn't so nervous and in my opinion I spoke good, so that everyone could understand me. But then, after two or three minuts I was more nervous and at the final I had to read a lot.
A part from that, I think that our presentation was good, because we had a lot of new information about New Zealand that we don't know before, and our power point was nice and I hope that everyone could understand it.
Another thing is that I found that oral presentation more difficult, because we had to search a lot of information and we had to study our text. The first presentation was easier because it was a personal topic and we haven't to study a lot because all the information is about you and easy to remember.
I hope that the third presentation will be better as this.

The Nanny diaries..♥
Hi everyone! today I'm going to talk about a film I have watched yesterday.
It was The Nanny diaries, with Scarlett Johansson. In my opinion I think that it was a good film, but there where much betters. The argument was interesting but sometimes a litlle bit boring because all what happens, happens very slowly. But there were funny moments too, and my sister and me could laugh very much.
It was interesting to see how a nanny have to take care and look after a little children, and in a few moments I thought that I will never be a nanny beacause you must have a lot of patience.
There were a lot of funny moments, but sad too. Because the little boy, which the nanny has to look after, was very extroverted and sometimes very exhausing. He was sometimes very sad because his parents had a lot of work and they never had time for playing with him. So, I found it very sad.
I think Scarlett Johansson did it very good, and in my opinion she is a very good actress, I really love some film with her, I have to say that she is one of my favorites :)

University
Last week I went with my school to the university in Girona, and the week before to the university in Barcelona. We went there for hearing the diferent talks about all what we can study when we arrive at the university.
I think that the University in Barcelona is good, but I could not imagine to study there because the building is very ugly, all is grey. And inside isn't better, I think the appearance is dirty. And another disadvantage is that it isn't in the city, it is outside from Barcelona.
I liked the university in Girona more. I think some parts are very beautiful. I like the building where study "letters", it is not very big but really cute. From aoutside the building looks old, brown colours. In my opinion I always imagine a university so, it's like in the films.
The classes are not so big as in Barcelona but more comfortable.
The other part of the university, where they study "science", i don't like it really much. It's like the university in Barcelona, it's a new building and all is grey.
In the university I went to the talking about ADE (administració i educació d'empresa), and I really have to say that I wouldn't study that in the future. I think that is not what i will study and I find it a little bit boring. But tastes are different, because my friends Anna and Douaa liked it very much and they will study that in the future.
In Girona I went to the talking about TOURISM, and I think that is the perfect thing for me. I liked it a lot and I can imagine, to study that on university. But I have to decide where I will study that yet, here in Spain or in Germany.

Gossip Girl
Gossip Girl is an American drama television series based on the book written by Cecily von Ziegesar and it is my favourite serie.
The story is about a group of teenagers that live in New York and go to the Elite-school. All their acts, errors, and rumors are to them by the anonymous blogger Gossip Girl in New York reported and commented. It is about conflicts between parents and their children, conflicts between the rich and less rich and with such themes as friendship, intrigue, love, jealousy, depression and drug.
Focus of the serie are Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and her best friend Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester).
Now I'm going to explain you a little bit about the story:
In the first episode of the series Serena suddenly appears again in New York. Blair did not even know where she's been the past few months. Blair's boyfriend Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford), before Serena's disappearance had a short interlude with her, realizes that he still has feelings for Serena. But she has no interest in Nate. Instead, Serena meets the charming Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley), a fellow from Brooklyn who is not, like Serena, Nate and Blair from a wealthy family of the high society of New York's Upper East Side and therefore Serena and her friends never noticed. But then, Serena and Dan are getting closer...
I really like this serie, I always watched it on the german tv, but now it doesn't appear more.
My favorite character in this serie is Blair Waldorf because she is the bad girl in the story, and I think that the most of the people that watch Gossip Girl like Serena (she is the good girl and the protagonist), but I really like Blair because she always has good ideas.
In my opinion I think that Leighton Meester, who plays Blair in the serie, is a very good actress and I love how she acts, so she is one of my favorites celebrities.

Carnival in Castelló.
Last weekend it was the carnival here in Castelló. I have to say that I've had a great time.
My friends and I dressed as "Zorro", and I think that it was a nice costume. It was a half long black dress with a black and white belt, also we had a long black layer, a hat and a sword.
It was a nice weekend, because at saturday night all my friends and I went to Beas' house for dinner and we had a lot of fun. After dinner all of us have begun to prepare us. We had to dressing us and but make-up over our face, it was a little bit stressing because Bea's house is not very big and she only has one bathroom, and we were 8 girls! But finaly we finished timely at ten o'clock, and Beas' parents taked us to Castelló because at ten o'clock the carnival began.
At the carnival were a lot of beautiful chariots, there were some that I liked a lot!
We haven't had a chariot in Castelló, but we had one in the carnival of Sant Pere Pescador two weeks ago. We decided to not bring our chariot because it was a little bit annoing to stay all the time with it. So, without it was more comfortable because we could go werever we liked without an obligation.
The party in the new sport room was very good. The room was very big and not finished yet, so the ambient was not perfect but ok. There were a lot of people and it was very difficult to dance, but the company was very good because we met there all our friends and classmates. Only the thing that I didn't like was the music. I think it was horrible! Also the music in Sant Pere Pescador was not good, so there were moments that I didn't feel like dancing. Although we stayed there until four o'clock of the morning and it was very difficult to wake up at the next day.

But finaly we finished timely at ten o'clock, and Beas' parents taked us to Castelló because at ten o'clock the carnival began.
At the carnival were a lot of beautiful chariots, there were some that I liked a lot!
We haven't had a chariot in Castelló, but we had one in the carnival of Sant Pere Pescador two weeks ago. We decided to not bring our chariot because it was a little bit annoing to stay all the time with it. So, without it was more comfortable because we could go werever we liked without an obligation.
The party in the new sport room was very good. The room was very big and not finished yet, so the ambient was not perfect but ok. There were a lot of people and it was very difficult to dance, but the company was very good because we met there all our friends and classmates. Only the thing that I didn't like was the music. I think it was horrible! Also the music in Sant Pere Pescador was not good, so there were moments that I didn't feel like dancing. Although we stayed there until four o'clock of the morning and it was very difficult to wake up at the next day.

Dear Lluïsa Pintó,
My name is Kim Wallas and I am a student of first "batxillerat" and I am writing this letter because I am going to tell you what I think about the new school calendar for 2011.
In one way I think it is a very good idea that this year we start with school after summer holidays in September one week earlier, this means the 7th of September, and therefor we have also one week holidays in February, so the school year seems schorter for us.
In the other way I do not agree that we have to start school on a Friday after Christmas holidays, because we have seen that this year it was totally a "flop". First because the school bus didn't come and a lot of children could not arrive at school. And in my opinion it was annoing that nobody informed us.
And secondly, the heating was switched off, and even the French teacher went with us to the "Punt de trobada" for doing class there, because it was freezing cold at school!
